OFC FARM DAY

was held

Saturday, June 19th

 

What started out a stormy morning turned into a day of cool air and overcast skies... the perfect weather for the event.

For those of you that thought we might have cancelled or rained out, we are sorry you missed out.

But, keep an eye out for the next OFC Farm Day because plans are being made!!

 Special Guests:

 

Glen Roberts from the Wayne County Cooperative Extension Service spoke to the attendees on the importance of Hereford influence, bull selection and the direction of the local beef industry.

 

Lowell Atwood, Co-Chairman of the Kentucky Hereford Influence Feeder Sale discussed the advantages and success of the KHI Feeder Sale.  He also answered questions and discussed the role of the Hereford breed in the beef industry.

 Lunch served with little delay:

 

Eventhough the rains came and went, the crew had lunch ready to serve right on schedule...

After lunch, guests were welcome to view our yearling bulls and heifers, two year heifers, pure bred cow/calf pairs and commercial cow/calf pairs.

 We hope all  that attended enjoyed the day as much as we did.  This was our first Farm Day but not our last.  We hope that future events will offer even more for you to enjoy.
